Albert is sadistic gambler Cressner's chauffeur and henchman, appearing in the segment of the film entitled "The Ledge." Albert is present in the apartment after Johnny Norris has successfully circumnavigated the titular 5-inch ledge on the outside of the skyscraper, much to Cressner's fury. When Cressner reveals that he has had his unfaithful wife, whom Norris had been having an affair with, killed, Norris flies into a rage and attacks Cressner.
Albert, armed with a pistol equipped with a silencer, attempts to come to his boss' assistance, but gets tripped up by Cressner's pet cat Sebastian (who he adopted at the beginning of the segment) and falls flat on his face, dropping the pistol. Norris, leaving Cressner lying stunned on the couch, runs over and kicks Albert in the face, knocking him back and grabbing the gun. Seeing this, Albert turns chicken, gets up, and runs for the front door of the apartment.

Bloody cats on stairs!
Rather coldly, Norris shoots the chauffeur twice in the back as he opens the door, but his rage at this point in time is perfectly understandable. Albert collapses through the open door, lying half in and half out of the apartment. The cat then runs and leaps over his dead body and escapes to freedom. He needs to return to Wilmington, North Carolina, after all.

Is he? Its ages since I saw the film (although I did enjoy it, especially the persecution of the smoker
I've updated Mr Troll to "baddie" status.
Aren't we talking about Albert here?
I'm hopelessly confused...
Albert is Cressner's chauffeur. He's definitely human.
