In an earlier scene, Connor and Murphy MacManus along with some other patrons of a local pub successfully managed to chase off a small group of Russian mafia. One of these Mafiosi - a nasty fellow by the name of Ivan Checkov - doesn't take this humiliation very well and seeks revenge.

Bringing a trusty goon with him, Checkov manages to track down both of the MacManus brothers, and confronts them at their apartment. Deciding to deal with them individually, Ivan handcuffs Connor to the toilet and then takes Murphy into the alley, with the intention of killing him.

Enraged and terrified, Connor frantically pulls hard against the cuffs, and successfully manages to wrench the toilet free of the wall. Without hesitation and with stunning improvisation, Connor heads to the roof, toilet in hand.

Far below, Ivan is preparing to shoot Murphy, when Connor steps to the edge of the roof, tips the toilet over the edge of the building and.......

BAM!! Ivan doesn't even see the porcelain projectile that brings an end to his life.
