Derek Vinyard is pissed off. While he should be spending these moments in post-coital bliss, he is instead running down the stairs, gun in hand, preparing to fight off some car thieves. To add insult to injury to this Neo-Nazi, the thieves are black.

This fires up Vinyard and before you know it, he is out on the lawn shooting at the car thieves. Understandably, they run for it and the driver manages to escape. One of the thieves, Lawrence, is not so lucky though and he gets shot in the leg, making him unable to get back to the car, which drives off without him.

It does not take a genius to work out that Lawrence's life expectancy has just nosedived, and Vinyard grabs him, drags him over to the edge of the road, where he makes him bite the curb.

Reluctantly Lawrence does this, and after spouting some racist diatribe, Vinyard slams his boot down on the back of his head, crushing his skull against the curb, killing him.

The brutality of this death gets it some bonus points in my eyes; it is a hauntingly vicious execution, where the punishment outweighs the crime.

Why "Execution"? He had no authority or leadership over the jacker, he was just acting in vengeance.

Or to give a better answer, look at the description for the category.

"A death where the killer believes they are empowered with some form of official mandate."

It sure seemed like an execution when I saw it. Execution, as in the most medieval sense of the word; brutal, bloody and horrid.

And really gripping to watch on a television screen.^_^
