Dr. Kitaj, in the middle of enjoying a vacation at a local airstrip, is blissfully unaware of Phibes’ (q.v.) ten plagues themed vendetta against him and the other eight doctors who fouled up his wife's surgery resulting in her death.
Kitaj takes off in an old-fashioned airplane but unfortunately for him, Dr. Phibes and henchwoman Vulnavia have filled the plane with a horde of hungry rats (actually, it is quite clear that the film crew could only obtain cute little hamster type creatures for this scene) which, having snaffled though the bags of complimentary peanuts the airline offered, proceed to bite and gnaw away at Kitaj in mid-flight. It comes as no surprise that he loses control of the plane, and crashes into the ground, killing him.
Where is his archetype? Goody (Minor)?
I think all the doctors count as Innocent Bystanders, personally.
Heh, my bad. I too, after some thought believe that the doctors should be bystanders! (with the exception of Longstreet and Vesalius, the former being a bit of a pervert making him an ambivalent, and the latter a main protagonist.)
Abominable Dr. Phoebe! (spell-check!)
where did Kitaj learn how to fly anyway?
Does it matter?
Random trivia: this was originally going to take place on a boat, but people kept asking "Why didn't he just jump off?"
What in the heck is so odd about a guy flying a plane for recreation, no matter what his profession?
except Vesalius was he innocent to?
All the doctors were innocet. Phibes was insane.
4 little doctors scared of Phibes as they can be.a plane crashed with 1 inside and then there were 3.
i thought the death was going to take place on a boat.
It was, as it says so in the sixth post.
