Hopper is the leader of the grasshoppers, who all swarm to an anthill to eat their fill of the ant's food stockpile, which is put up as an offering to them once a year. They take over the ant colony near the end of the film after coming back early (a failed offering resulting in there being little time to salvage more food for them) to find barely any food picked.
After a failed attempt to scare Hopper away with a fake bird (birds being his only fear), Flik, the inventor ant and hero of the film stands up to Hopper, and the rest of the colony follow suit, about to launch him off their little island. Unfortunately, rain starts to fall, scuppering their plans, and giving Hopper a chance to get Flik and Princess Atta.
An aerial chase ensues, Hopper, Flik and Atta ending up in the tall grass outside of their island. Hopper closes in, but Flik leads him close to a bird’s nest where a real bird appears. At first Hopper thinks it is just another fake to try and scare him away, but is unpleasantly surprised when it tweets loudly at him.
The grasshopper tries to escape but the bird is too quick, hopping in front of him and picking him up by his wings before returning to its nest, where a family of baby birds all hop up and down hungrily for the meal their mother had brought them. Hopper screams and kicks his legs as he is slowly lowered into the maws of the hatchlings, the screen fading to black before we see him be devoured.
The title is just Bug's Life isn't it?
I dont think so. It should be A Bug's Life although i have been slightly remiss in forgetting the apostrophe!
Offscreen Killing?
