Kane is a deputy in the town of Bisbee and Ben Wade has recently been captured by the local law enforcement and is on his way to prison. However, it is clear that escorting Wade is going to troublesome when Wade's right-hand man, Charlie, rides up, guns blazing.

This town's gonna burn!" woops Charlie.

He then shoots Deputy Kane and then one of the townsfolk for no other reason than to boost the already high body count.
